[January 23] YOU WILL NOT DIE NEXT TO YOUR MIRACLE

YOU WILL NOT DIE NEXT TO YOUR MIRACLE
Scripture Reading: Genesis 21:8-21
Then God opened her eyes, and she saw a well of water. And she went and filled the skin with water, and gave the lad a drink. - Genesis 21:19
In March 1993, South African photographer Kevin Carter shocked the world with an iconic picture of a starving little girl about to be preyed upon by a vulture in famine-stricken South Sudan. The heavily malnourished girl was trekking to the UN feeding Centre to get food. She was close but had fainted from exhaustion. The vulture was apparently waiting for her to die. She was so close to her “miracle” and yet moments away from death.
Genesis 21 tells the story of Hagar travelling through the wilderness with her son Ishmael. Dehydrated and dying, she desperately cried out to God. She moved a distance away saying, “Let me not see the death of the boy.” At that point, God “opened her eyes” to see a well nearby. Had the well always been there? Why did she not see it earlier? This could be the story of many of us. You may probably be “dying" from scarcity in your finances, health, business or some critical area of your life. Your own "vultures" may even be lined up waiting to pounce. But I have good news for you.
As you call upon the Lord, may He open your eyes to His supernatural provision. An idea, someone you know, something you are a part of, will suddenly assume new significance. A miraculous doorway will suddenly appear close by. Stop crying and lamenting. Instead, ask the Lord to open your eyes to see His supernatural provision for your situation.

Prayer: Father, open my eyes to see your supernatural provision. I declare that "I SHALL NOT DIE NEXT TO MY MIRACLE.”
