WE'VE HAD THE VICTORY
And the God of peace will crush Satan under
your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with
you. Amen. Romans 16:20
Satan is not an equal power with God;
he is a defeated foe. He knows it; God knows it; the angels know it; the demons
know it. In the realm of the spirit, there is no dispute as to who is boss. The
only ones who don't know
it are human beings. So his game plan is to keep us from knowing that he is a defeated foe.
He does it by using the first trick he used in the Garden of Eden. To Eve, he
asked, 'Has God said?' and then, 'If you eat this you will be like God'. With
the first question, he creates doubts in our
minds concerning the authority of God's Word and with the second statement he
makes us doubt our standing in God's eyes.
Our response
to the first question should be, 'Yes, God has said'. Our confidence is not in what we say
but in what the Lord has said. If God says it, I believe it and that settles it.
Our victory is in the Word! It is the Word that tells us about what Christ
accomplished for us through His death and resurrection.
Our response to the second
statement should be, 'Christ in me, the hope
of glory'. We are already accepted in Christ. We are seated with Him in authority on high. The Lord has placed
principalities and powers under our
feet. We are more than conquerors in Christ Jesus. That's who we are.
Don't listen
to any lie of the devil to the contrary. You have the victory; you have the authority; you have the power. Use it and
see the enemy run with his tail between his legs.
Prayer: I declare that in Christ I have the victory in Heaven, on earth
and under the earth.
