'ANOINTED' TO EXCEL AT WORK
Scripture Reading: Exodus 31:1-11
And I have filled HIM with the Spirit of God, in wisdom, in understanding knowledge, and in all manner of workmanship. - Exodus 31:3
This description of Bezalel is so attractive that you may want to I personalize it and replace the word HIM with your name. Bezalel was the chief craftsman God prepared to help Moses build the tabernacle. Exodus 31:3 establishes that Bezalel had a divine empowerment that enabled him to excel in his work. That is what we call the 'anointing'. It is a supernatural ability God gives us to do what we ordinarily couldn't do.
Each of us has a divine mandate from God; an assignment that is unique to us and for which we are well suited. Bezalel is a reminder that God has commissioned each of us by name and prepared us. Exodus 35:3133 clarifies that God had “filled him with the Spirit of God, in wisdom and understanding, in knowledge and all manner of workmanship, to design artistic works, to work in gold and silver and bronze, in cutting jewels for setting, in carving wood, and to work in all manner of artistic workmanship”.
You have a responsibility to find out the area you are called to operate in and to excel there. What do you love? What are you passionate about? What do you have a competitive advantage in? What is the one thing you do without much sweat - effortlessly? That could give you an idea of your mandate or assignment. Whether you are a teacher, engineer, doctor, lawyer, pastor, designer or entrepreneur, God has called you to your assignment. Like Bezalel, ask Him to fill you with His Spirit and anoint you for excellence in wisdom, technology and skill.
Prayer: I declare by faith that God has 'anointed me (insert your name) to excel in my work. I am filled with His Spirit in wisdom, knowledge and workmanship.
