[June 25] PRAISE THE LORD

PRAISE THE LORD
"I will bless the LORD at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth.” Psalm 34:1
The Psalmist here with joy declares his love for praising God. Because our God is worthy of our praise, the joy in praising Him knows no bound. The Psalmist say the praise of the Lord will continually be in his mouth. He can't praise God enough. What about you? Do you have a cause to praise God?
What does it mean to praise God? Various expressions in the Hebrew language denote Praise: YADAH: Expression of open hands, showing gratitude to God in all situations. In praise, God will also open His hands towards you. TOWDAH: Expression of Adoration, declaring that God is true to His promises and will accomplish them. SHABACH: Expression of your confidence in God's ability, declaring your testimony and showing gratitude for your victory. BARAUCH: Expression of Humility, showing of love, trust and total submission to the father in heaven. ZAMAR: Expression of celebration with musical instruments including clapping. TEHILLAH: Expression of extravagance before God. You openly show an overflowing gratitude. HALLEL: Expression of absolute Jubilation, comprising all the above forms of praise. It involves dancing so much before God that it may appear like foolishness before others. Hallel is expressing total gratitude to God for His salvation, protection and all His precious promises.
False is an attitude of the heart. A grateful heart is praiseful heart. Is there anything in your life for which you are grateful for? Why don't you lake some joyful noise to the Lord? “The joy of the Lord is our strength."
Prayer: I give you give you all the thanks and praise, O Lord, for your goodness and mercies endures forever.
