[JULY 7] PROMISES OF GOD

PROMISES OF GOD

For all the promises of God in Him are Yes, and in Him Amen, to the glory of God through us. 2 Corinthians 1:20
Our world today places little value on words; vows are often broken. We've seen politicians retract campaign promises once they've taken office. Though many swear to tell the truth in court, others resort to lying for self-preservation.
Thankfully, there is One who keeps His word and never changes. As Hebrews 10:23 tells us, "God who promised is faithful." The Father always keeps His promises, the same today as He did in the days of the Bible. Yet some people become discouraged because they fail to see results after asking for His assurance. God swore by Himself regarding the fulfilment of His promise to Abraham. Just think about that, God has backed His promise to bless you with an oath and swearing by Himself.
Christians everywhere can find hope from the Bible's promises. We learn about what God wants to provide His children. These blessings are life-changing! Even though you might already be able to recite some of these verses by heart, really believing them and living them can be a challenge. Take time to reflect on each promise of God and how it benefits your life.
Therefore in Christ Jesus God says Yes to all His promises and we respond in Christ we agree. It's reassuring and heartwarming to know we serve a God who keeps His Word.
"For all the promises of God in Him are Yes" meaning, all the blessings of God are YES only in Christ Jesus. Jesus is God's decisive YES to all who believe. "And in Him Amen to the glory of God through us" meaning, that's why we utter Amen through Him.
Amen and Yes are almost the same meaning; this is true, I agree, I affirm what you have said.
Prayer: Thank You Father for all Your promises are true and Your power to perform is the same yesterday, today and forever.
Scriptural Reading: 2 Corinthians 1:17-22
