BE PREPARED
As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving. Colossians 2:6
By now you
should know the importance of controlling your thinking and adjusting your mind to the
truth of God's Word. One of the most important truths you must have learned is that Satan is on your case every day
trying to trick you out of God's blessings. You need God's blessings if you
are going to live the life God wants for you. So how will you ensure that Satan
does not rob you of your
blessings?
You need to
read and re-read the positive truths of God's Word and drill the principles
into your mind so that Christ may dwell in your heart. The Bible says in Ephesians
3:17-19, "That Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith; that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to
comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and
height - to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God."
You cannot set
aside the principles and concepts of God's Word and overcome the enemy. You cannot leave your
Bible on the shelf to gather dust.
Instead, you have to read these principles each day. You need to study each verse and memorize
some. You must anticipate an
attack on your mind every moment.
You must always be prepared.
Satan does not give up and neither should you. You should never give up on reading
and meditating on God's Word. That is the only way you can keep Satan under your feet.
Prayer: Pray
for the grace to boldly resist Satan's
deceptions and overcome every temptation he brings your way.
