- The opened their treasures
- They gave gifts to Him
- They honoured His Office
Jesus on Tithes
Matthew 23:23-24
- Pay attention to the principle: justice, mercy and faith
- Practice what is required: meticulously tithe your income
Luke 18:9-14
- Tithing is not used to impress God
- Tithing is not used to despise others
- Tithing must not be practiced in arrogance
Mark 10:17-22, 28-30
Jesus demands all; not a percentage
- Giving is a higher test of Godly devotion
- Giving of our susbstance is giving of ourselves
- Giving on earth builds up heavenly treasure
- Christians giving provides both earthly and heavenly rewards
