THE CLOUD OF HIS GLORY
Scripture Reading. Exodus 40:16-38
And Moses was not able to enter the tabernacle of meeting, because the cloud rested above it, and the glory of the LORD filled the tabernacle. - Exodus 40:35
It is instructive that a tabernacle Moses had just finished building under divine inspiration was so filled with God's presence and glory that he himself could not enter it. A similar incident occurred in 1 Kings 8:10-11, "And it came to pass, when the priests came out of the holy place, that the cloud filled the house of the LORD, so that the priests could not continue ministering because of the cloud; for the glory of the LORD filled the house of the LORD." The temple built by Solomon and dedicated to God was completely filled with the cloud of God's presence and glory.
When we build our lives, our homes, our businesses and relationships and commit them to God, He is able to come in and fill them with His overwhelming presence and glory. You may be the builder but when God takes over, that which is normal can be transformed into a holy thing.
God's presence and glory can transform your seemingly ordinary life into a daily spiritual encounter. Your business can be engulfed with God's glory. The glory of God can overshadow your family, your marriage, your home or your project. It can transform your new book or musical single and make it a bestseller. Your sales exhibition or educational institution can be so engulfed with God's presence that it will attract many from far and near. God's glory can fill any part of your life if you allow Him.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, may Your glory engulf my entire life, in Jesus' name!
